She was born November 9, 1947, to the late Orville & Marie Flynn of Queens, New York. In 1967, Kathy married the late Douglas T Quinn (1947-2010), they had two girls: Christine Marie and Jennifer Lee, before moving out to “The Island” for a better quality of life. A third child, Brian David rounded out the family.
After graduating high school, and driven by her love of the written word, she worked in a variety of jobs at publishing houses throughout “the city”. While raising the kids she waited tables, part-time until 1980, when Kathy obtained her Real Estate License, but it was her title of Mom & Nana that she was most proud of.  A self-described, “Irish New Yorker”, she prided herself on her strength and independence. She instilled those qualities in her children and in her grandchildren.
Kathy is survived by her children, Christine (Stuart) Britland of Matthews, NC. Jennifer (Gene) Miller of Nappanee, IN and Brian Quinn of Mishawaka, IN. Her pride and joy, her grandchildren: Jeremy Miller (22), Andrew Britland (19), Samantha Quinn(17) & Cameron Britland (16), as well as her Great Granddaughter, Natalie Miller (3). her “forever sister-in-law” Cathy Velte and sister, Patricia Brune.
Preceding Kathy in Death are her parents, her sister Lee and her brother Mike.
