Kathleen's obituary
Kathleen Ann (Howard) Patterson of Chesterfield, Missouri passed away Friday March 8, 2024. She is survived by her husband of nearly 44 years, Martin D. Patterson, and their three children Chad (m. Theresa) Patterson, Jill Patterson, and Kevin (m. Beth) Patterson- all in the St. Louis area. Her siblings include Barbara (m. Dave) Zanini of Aurora, Colorado, David (m. Heather) Howard of Fenton, Missouri, Thomas (m. Joyce) Howard of Grove City, Ohio, Charles Howard of Nashville, Tennessee, and Paul Howard (m. Trista) Howard of Westerville, Ohio, as well as her brother-in-law Stephen (m. Brenda) Patterson of Bastrop, Texas.
She was blessed with six grandchildren- Keegan, Nora, Hailey, Emily, Audrey, Riley- as well as her nine nephews and nieces- Jason, Gavin, Adam, Ashley, Holly, Nick, Jarrod, Kyle and Sophia.
Kathy was born in Erie, PA and called many locations home growing up with her own family, including Colorado, Georgia, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio and Texas. She played the Flute in the high school marching band, danced on the drill team and graduated in the top of her class. She had a strong commitment to family as a devoted wife, mom, sibling, aunt and beyond. Kathy was fully engaged in her children’s activities she spent much of her time hand-making gifts for loved ones and treasured creating holiday memories with her entire family- no matter the distance Kathy was guided by her Christian values, cherished her Bible study group friendships and gave her time helping other when she could.
She beat brain cancer for the last 25 years and succumbed to Parkinson’s Disease in her final days. Kathy was intelligent, passionate, had a bright smile and personality. She loved to laugh with family around grand meals and special occasions which we will miss dearly.
