Kathleen Ann Mikologic (Anderson), 61, of Grayslake, Illinois passed away peacefully on May 17, 2022 after a battle with cancer. Kathy was born December 14, 1960 and grew up in Arlington Heights, Illinois. She graduated from Buffalo Grove High School Class of 1979. Kathy was a long-time resident of Grayslake, Illinois where she raised her family.

Kathy was a selfless mother to her two daughters, Jessica and Nicole. Throughout their childhoods, Kathy was a dedicated cheer and dance mom. Kathy will always be remembered for her strength, overcoming two battles with breast cancer and raising two girls mostly as a single mom. Kathy enjoyed family vacations to the Outer Banks, shopping with her daughters, and most recently helping raise her grandson, Matthew. Kathy will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Roy and Patricia, and sister, Judith. She is survived by her brother, Tim, her two daughters, Jessica and Nicole, grandson Matthew, nieces Rachel and Natalie, and many dear friends.

A memorial reception will be held in her honor. All of Kathy’s loved ones are invited to join us in celebrating her beautiful life on May 27, 2022 between 4-6pm at The Knights of Columbus Lake Zurich, 365 Surryse Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to an education fund for Kathy’s grandson. While briefly living in Las Vegas with family, Kathy’s daughter Jessica became a single mom after an unfortunate situation. Kathy abruptly returned to Illinois to assist in raising Matthew, so Jessica could continue to work and support the family. Matthew has been a continuous source of love and joy in her life, keeping her active and providing many laughs.
