Kathleen's obituary

Kathleen Margaret Baker, aged 73, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025, in San Antonio, TX.  Born on December 10, 1951, Kathy, as she was affectionately known, was full of joy and laughter, often using her mischievous humor to bring a smile to the faces of those she loved.  Nicknamed “Lucy” from “I Love Lucy”, Kathy occasionally found herself in the midst of the candy on the conveyer belt scene, popping chocolates into her mouth and shirt pockets.  One never had to wonder what Kathy was thinking as she spoke exactly what was on her mind.

Kathy attended Mamaroneck High School, where she began to shape a life characterized by compassion and a dedication to service. Her career was largely spent in the medical field, where she worked with patients in various doctors' offices, providing care and support with a kind heart.

In addition to her professional life, Kathy was a committed member of Alcoholics Anonymous. Through her involvement, she played a crucial role in supporting many individuals on their journeys to recovery, offering guidance and encouragement to find serenity and sobriety.

Kathy's family was the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by her loving husband, James Warren Baker; daughter, Stephanie Reynolds (Michael); step-children, John Baker (Crystal) and Sarah Hyland (John); and grandchildren, Kayla, Kendra, Kylin, Hannah, Djuna, and Keenan; brother, Henry Williams (Vivian); sisters, Barbara Miletic (Tommy) and Diane Connor.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Vitulli; her son, Richard Pantano and her brother-in-law, Dennis Connor.

An online celebration of Kathy's life will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 10am EST. Her legacy of laughter and aid continues to inspire all who knew her, as she made a lasting impact both within her family and her community.
