Kathleen (Kathy)'s obituary

Kathleen (Kathy) Brown went home to be with Jesus after several weeks in hospice surrounded by family and friends fortunate enough to share their memories and love with her before she passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning January 10, 2024 at the age of 64.

Born to Mollie and George on April 28, 1959, in Miami, Kathy's childhood was adorned with a love for horses, leading her to win numerous ribbons as a Barrel Racer.

In 1987, Kathy crossed paths with her future husband, Scott, in Ft Lauderdale through mutual friends. Their union on December 2nd, 1992, marked the beginning of a journey that spanned more than three and a half decades, filled with countless kisses and hand-holding. The couple shared a passion for watching Hallmark and any love stories that came their way. After spending most of their years in Davie and Plantation, Florida, they relocated to Ocala in October 2022.

Beyond being a devoted mother, Kathy found joy in attending church, dining out, cherishing family moments, and exploring country roads and beaches. Her love extended to animals, especially horses, and she was a dedicated dog lover, often spending time walking them or taking them to the dog park. While Jake remains with us, Kathy looks forward to reuniting with Conan, Lady, Sampson, and Delilah in heaven.

Kathy's warm and inviting nature ensured that strangers became friends in no time. Whether on a park bench, in a restaurant booth, or in a grocery store line, people would open up to her, sharing their life stories. Above all, Kathy cherished talking about Jesus, a testament to her unwavering faith in God throughout her life.

In heaven, Kathy reunites with Nana (Mollie), Dad (George), Pop-pop (Rich), and sister Stephanie. She is survived by her loving husband Scott, brother George, children Stephanie, Tiffany (Garrett), Crystal, and Christopher (Sharline), stepchildren Scott, Brenda, and Ashleigh, as well as many grandchildren and countless friends.

Kathy's absence is deeply felt here, yet we take joy in knowing that she is joyously celebrating with Jesus now.
