Since condolences to Dick, Lisa and Karl and family. I feel grateful to have had so many visits and find memories to cherish. I wish I had known her in her rally driving days but I'm sure those stories and pictures will surface. Our prayers are with you.

I remember Claire and Lisa's visit to us in Jamaica in December 1994 and our visit to you all in Montreal in 2003. I wish I could remember the days when we used to play a hockey team or teams would go to play hockey with Claire in Mandeville, Jamaica. Sadly it is too long ago to remember the details. Hope a younger hockey player who knew your mom will send what they remember. Claire will be missed by one and all

Karl and Lisa, We worked with the team on putting this video together for you. We hope this helps you find comfort during this difficult time. Things aren't the same without you.

After hearing the story you shared with me about your mom helping her friends pay for school costs, we decided that we would be honored if you would accept a donation of $1,800 in her honor. Feel free to give to whoever or whatever organization you feel appropriate to help further education. Although I didn't know your mom, I'm moved by her story and by you, who clearly carries her lessons.

Lisa and Karl, I was so saddened to hear this news yesterday. I remember your Mom as someone that was cheerful, determined, and full of life! She loved to travel. On the occasions that we spoke, she was often just coming back from one of her many jaunts.....Texas for Christmas, back home to Jamaica, more recently visiting Karl and family in Guatemala.

She welcomed me into her home one Thanksgiving many years ago and I was the grateful beneficiary of her warmth and hospitality. We talked about sports, current events of the day, and her pride and joy....Lisa and Karl.

I had the pleasure of entertaining her and Lisa on a trip to Vancouver years ago and it was great to catch up and see them both.

Rest In Eternal Peace Mrs Holzwarth. Your body may no longer be here, but your spirit lives on. Miss you!

At Krissy's baby shower with Hedy and Sylvia. Before driving back to Montreal, Auntie Claire and Hedy decided to pay me a visit in Brampton. At the time I lived in the middle of nowhere. They said they'd be here at a particular time, but 3 hours later they still hadn't shown up :) and cell phones weren't as common. Turns out they got lost. Yet another adventure!!
Dear Karl and Lisa:

I am truly, truly sorry to learn of this news. Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know, when you have so much else on your minds.

I feel very lucky and honoured to have been your mother’s physician. She had more than her fair share of health challenges and always rose to them with courage and grace. She was obviously highly intelligent, articulate and accomplished, but more importantly was a good and kind person, and the same qualities are evident in her children. As a parent I know that is the ultimate indication of and tribute to her personal qualities. She also made it clear to me, on many occasions, how proud she was of both of you.

I hope that you were able to see her before she passed. I certainly appreciate the fact that she was able to return home after her hospitalization, and that she was able to remain at home with you until a few days before her passing. I know this made a huge difference to her last few months.

Thank you again for taking the time to inform me, and for your very kind words. Please accept my deepest sympathies, and please relay them to your family.
