Kathleen Harms (nee Javorek) was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. We regretfully announce her passing on 5/16/2022, at the age of 79.

She was brought into this world on 12/10/1942 to Catherine & Edward Javorek in Cleveland, Ohio. She dedicated her life to the pursuit of caring, knowledge, and research for 'Infectious Diseases & Prevention' in the field of Nursing. After working at several hospitals in the St. Louis metro area, she retired with a 45+ year career from Belleville Memorial Hospital, IL. Her hobbies were gardening, quilting, and crafts.

She is survived by many loving individuals, including her sons, Kevin (Bonnie), Kraig (Teresa) and Kris, her sister Mary Javorek and three grandchildren (Hayden, Helena and Drew). She was predeceased by her parents, and her brother, Donald Javorek.

The family will be holding a private memorial per Kathy’s wishes. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the “COPD Foundation” or the “American Lung Association” in her honor.
