Kathleen's obituary
In Loving Memory of Kathleen Hana
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathleen Ellen Hana, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, who peacefully left this world at the age of 73 on December 31, 2023. Kathy, born on March 8, 1950, was a source of love and kindness to all fortunate enough to know her.
Born and raised in Taylor, MI, she embraced life with an enthusiasm that touched the hearts of everyone around her. She faced challenges gracefully and always found a way to see the silver lining.
As a devoted mother, Kathy poured her heart and soul into raising her children, instilling in them values of kindness, integrity, and the importance of family. Kathy’s role as a grandmother (aka, Nana Hana) brought her immeasurable joy. Her eyes sparkled with pride and love as she watched her grandchildren grow.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband Gordy who died in 2020 and is survived by her brother-in-law, Rick (Mary) Hana, her children, Jason (Sarah) Hana and Jeffrey (Melissa) Hana, grandchildren Ethan, Rylie and Mina, and aunt to many nieces and nephews who will continue to carry her legacy forward. She is also remembered by a wide circle of friends and neighbors who were fortunate to have known her.
A memorial service to celebrate Kathy’s life will be held on January 6th at 11:00 AM at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Clawson, MI. Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Angela’s Hospice (https://angelahospice.org/don…) in Kathy’s honor.
Kathy’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those touched by her kindness, and her memory will be a source of inspiration for generations to come. May she rest in eternal peace.
