Kathleen Anne Dailey, age 71 of Fort Pierce, FL, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 . Kathy was born in Oak Park Illinois to the late William G. Johnson and the late Marian Lowrie Johnson on March 17, 1947.
Kathy attended Proviso East High School, before attending Bethel College, Hollins University, and University of South Florida. She worked as Adjunct Faculty/ Graduate Student at University of South Florida, Research Coordinator at Florida Mental Health Institute, Title 1 Evaluator at Polk County Schools, and most recently Director, Assessment & Accountability at St. Lucie County School Board.
Kathy was dedicated and committed to anything she set her mind to accomplish. She enjoyed living at the beach with her 4 legged companion Lucky. She also loved being known as the book nanny. Her passion for education and her USF Bulls was evident to anyone that she met.
Kathy is survived by her Loving husband Ronald A. Dailey. She also leaves behind 4 children and their families Lorianne Thompson Edwards (Wm. Bradley), Elisabeth M. Thompson, Joshua M. Thompson (Jessica), Ronald H. Daily, grandchildren William W. Shallenberger, Katerina E. Shallenberger, Abigail N. Shallenberger, Jackson Stebleton and Jamison Thompson. She is also survived by her sister Cheryl Johnson Covert, her 3 brothers David W. Johnson (Bonnie), Stephen P. Johnson (Susan), and Michael A. Johnson (Anne) and 11 nieces and nephews.
