Kathleen Ann McCann Cozzolino passed away on November 29, 2021 after a two week hospitalization. Her family is heartbroken.

Kathy, as she was called by many close to her, was the third child born to Thomas and Mary Kate (McGreal) McCann, Irish immigrants who met in Chicago. As a child Kathy loved to draw with her Aunt Mary, who she felt a close bond with. Her bond with her sister Maureen (Moe) McCann was lifelong until Moe’s passing over 10 years ago. Kathy was married to Bob Cozzolino for 40 years and they raised four children, Robert (Cate Cooney), Renee (David Ingram), Jeffrey, and Michael (Kristina Brown) Cozzolino. Loving birthmom to Jeff Neuschaefer, born from love prior to the children she raised. Kathy was a proud grandmother to Thomas, Arson, Fabrizio, Ivy and Violet. She is survived by one brother, Thomas McCann and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, John McCann and her beloved sister, Maureen McCann. She was a mother, friend, sister, beautician, artist, lover of animals and nature. In lieu of flowers, loved ones may choose to donate a children’s book in her honor to their local library, make a donation to a charity of their choice who helps animals or preserves nature. She especially loved to take her children and grandchildren to The Little Red Schoolhouse and Palos Children’s Farm. Her children plan to pay homage to Ireland with a memorial in her honor. A visitation for Kathleen will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Kenny Brothers Funeral Directors, 3600 West 95th Street, Evergreen Park, IL 60805. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Most Holy Redeemer 9525 S Lawndale Ave Evergreen Park, IL 60805. Interment to immediately follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, 6001 W. 111th Street, Alsip, IL 60803.
