In lieu of flowers

Please consider a contribution to Any help is appreciated.

Background

My mom lived the last 10 years of her life with out my dad. They hadn't thought life through to "old age". There was no retirement funds or 401k. After having had it paid off, mom slowly started selling her home back to a bank. This being the home she raised her 4 kids and all of their friends in. The home she helped raise her grandchildren in. The home her husband of 43 years passed away in. And just days before her passing she had applied for another draw off the house. Her bank accounts are overdrawn and must be paid before they can be closed. There are several debts she left that are not forgiven by death. I ask that any money you might consider using to purchase flowers or cards; please reconsider the gesture and donate to help us pay Mom's debts. I know it's not at all the same gesture, it's not a lovely and fragrant as flowers. But flowers are hard to enjoy when we are up to our ears in worry and uncertainty. Flowers are very pretty, but they will die too. And any donation will be so much more appreciated.
Thank you to anyone that takes the time to read this. I know there are other things you could have done with this minute. You are appreciated.
