Personal note from Kathleen's Family

Our family has been touched by all the kind tributes written about Kathleen. A friend shared a quote with me: “The purpose of life is to find your gift, the meaning of life is to give it away.” Kathleen definitely discovered her gift, and clearly shared it. We are thankful she made such a positive impact on so many lives. She will be missed. May she rest in peace.

Updates

Update from Feb. 3, 2023

Hello, several of you have inquired about viewing Kathleen's paver at the Seattle Humane Society in Bellevue. Kathleen’s paver is located in the uppermost right “pad” in front of the adoptions lobby. It’s the one that has the fewest inscribed bricks since it is so new. The center paver has a large etching of a dog named “Bing Bing”.

If you visit, please post a picture.
Best,
Michele

Update from Aug. 20, 2022

Dear Friends of Kathleen,
Thank you so much for your generous support of celebrating our most fabulous Ms. Carie. We had more funds than needed to cover the cost of her Celebration of Life and have purchased a paver in her honor at the Seattle Humane Society located in Bellevue, Washington. The paver will read: "In loving memory of Kathleen Carie, we celebrate her love of dogs, especially her beloved Q-Tips. We miss you darling!" Also, in honor of the thousands of women she impacted and empowered, the remaining funds were utilized to make a donation to the Seattle Dress for Success organization which provides all employment readiness support from professional attire to 1:1 career coaching.

All our love,
Michele, Carol, Elisabeth, Makaylaa and Jane

Covid Awareness/Precautions
• We do not plan to check vaccine or Covid test status and masks are optional, but, because Covid is on the rise now in King County, as Ms. Carie would say, it would be FABULOUS if you’d take an at-home test as close to the event as possible.
• If you test positive or you are not feeling well, or know you’ve been recently exposed, we respectfully invite you to join us virtually as we will be streaming the event live.
• Let’s do our best to keep each other safe as we join to celebrate the life of our dear friend Kathleen.
For those of you who will be joining us virtually, we recommend loading and testing your devices Zoom capabilities prior to the event.
• The Zoom doors will open about 15 minutes before the event start.
• The link to the Zoom live stream is: (copy and paste into your browser) https://us05web.zoom.us/j/841…
• To ensure a smooth broadcast, your webcams and microphones will be disabled, but chat will be available for tech support only.
