Kathleen's obituary
It's with profound sorrow we announce the passing of Kathleen Cantor, a beacon of warmth and love, who left us peacefully on September 8th, 2025. Born in 1949, she spent her life sharing an abundance of love and generosity to those around her. Her unwavering spirit and relentless optimism made her a pillar in any room she graced.
Among the many roles Kathleen held in life, none was more important or cherished by her than that of a mother. To her daughters, Phillesa Pyles, and son-in-law, Jonathan Hallgren, she was not just a parent, but a guide, a confidante, and an endless source of support. There was no problem too great, no worry too small that Kathleen wouldn’t fiercely undertake for her family.
Kathleen's rich legacy will continue to live, not only in the memories of those she met, but also through her family. Her granddaughter, Nicole Hunt, will carry forward her grandmother’s warm spirit, embodying Kathleen's ideals in love, faith, and resilience. The memories they created together will serve as a beacon of joy amidst the sadness of loss and separation.
A lifelong lover of people, Kathleen thrived in the company of others, her aura of warmth always embracing those around her. She had an extraordinary ability to uplift everyone she encountered, leaving a lasting imprint on their hearts.
In losing Kathleen, we lose not just a person, but a rare soul whose kindness was oftentimes beyond comprehension. Even in our loss, we find comfort in the unconditional love and warmth she imparted. We mourn her departure, but find solace that her spirit will continue to guide and watch over us. The world may have lost an angel on earth, but heaven surely gained one.
