It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Brackett on April 6, 2023. Born on September 12, 1951, Kathy's enjoyed gardening, artwork and her passion for animals.  She was 1969 graduated from Greenfield High School .  Kathy spent her life long career as United State Postal Service Employee.  Her contagious smile and genuine kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Found peace with her loving parents William and Dorothy Hammernik.  She survived by her children Karrie Rauker and Bryan.  Proud grandma to her grandsons Colin, Dylan, and Gavin Toryfter.  Also survived by the love of her siblings Keith Hammernik family, Dale (Denise) Hammernik family, Brian (Kristy) Hammernik family,  Linda (John) Magyar, Michael (Nancy) Hammernik who will always cherish the beautiful memories they shared together.  Further survived by many other relatives and friends. "Kathy will be missed by Bella, her beloved Siamese Cat."

A Celebration of Life for Kathleen will take place on June 1st, 2023, at 4 PM at Whitnall Park, Whitnall Picnic Area 08 (Shelter) 5879 S. 92nd St. Franklin, WI  This gathering will honor Kathleen's memory and serve as an opportunity for her loved ones to share their fondest memories and stories. Her spirit will truly live on in the hearts and minds of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.  Celebration of Life service will be at 5:30PM followed by dinner. 

In lieu of flowers, Kathleen's family has chosen to raise funds for "Cat Guardians Inc."  932 East St. Charles Road, Lombard, Ill 60148 an organization dear to her heart.
