Kathy's obituary
Katheryn “Kathy” Massey Havlik of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025. She is survived by her daughter Shelby Havlik, her granddaughter Emery Perry, her mother Johnnie Brown, her brother & sister-in-law Mickey & Debbie Provence, her niece Meghan Brakebill & great niece Makayla Provence, & her sister & brother-in-law Frankie & Kendell Davis.
She was the sun peeking through on a cloudy day. She was the most incredible mother, grandmother, daughter, & friend. She loved wholeheartedly & unconditionally. She was a fighter, the strongest woman many have ever known. She would do anything she could for just about anyone. She was the most beautiful person inside & out. She was the most selfless & kind person, whose beautiful soul could shine brighter than any star. She touched many lives & was a bright spot in so many dark times. She was a true angel gifted to us. Though she is now an angel up above, she does live on. She lives on through her daughter, her granddaughter, her mother, her family, her friends, & most everyone’s lives she’s ever touched. She was a hero & she will be so truly missed. This is not goodbye, we will see her again.
We will have a celebration of life at a later time, likely next summer (2026). We will be sure to notify everyone at that time.
I carry your heart with me, I carry it in my heart.
I am never without it, anywhere I go you go, my dear; & whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling.
I fear no fate, for you are my fate, my sweet.
I want no world, for beautiful you are my world, my true.
& it's you are whatever a moon has always meant & whatever a sun will always sing is you.
Here is the deepest secret nobody knows, here is the root of the root & the bud of the bud & the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than soul can hope or mind can hide.
& this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart;
I carry your heart, I carry it in my heart.
