Kat's obituary
Katherine Marie Walz, age 66, passed away on August 6, 2025. Kat was born on January 3, 1959 in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Kat was known for her vibrant personality and her heart of gold. She grew up going to the beach with her family and friends. She spent many of days in the sun. She had a passion for rock and roll, Harley Davidsons ... and hotdogs. She loved to cook. Cooking was her passion. She spent many of years as a chef, and made the best soups in Downtown Springfield. She had a gift for making people feel welcome, sharing stories, laughing, and dancing to some good tunes. She was very involved in the biker community, something that she cherished her whole life. She touched so many souls through her lifetime, and will be deeply missed.
Katherine is predeceased by her Mother Jean Ruyffelaert, and Father Edward Walz, she is survived by her longtime companion Reginald Wright, her daughter, Jennifer Wright, four grandcats, Finn, Murph, Lucy, and Princess, her sister Linda and husband Wayne Lafleche. her youngest sister Diane and husband Shawn Greaney, her nephews Wayne Lafleche Jr, Jason Lafleche and wife Lena Lafleche, and Jeffrey Lafleche, Her nephews John Greaney and wife Cherish, Patrick(Diddy) Greaney and wife Emily, Nieces Meghan Greaney and boyfriend Thomas, and Danielle Greaney. She had many Aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her very much. Many other nieces and nephews, two other daughters, and many soul sisters and brothers. Everyone loved Katrina, she had so many friends, there is not enough ink to write them all on here.
