Katherine Bailey Snead (age 67) passed away, on August 17, 2023. Kathi leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and commitment to serving others. She had the ability to make family, friends and strangers feel important and was deeply rooted in her faith.

Kathi was born in 1956, in Muskegon Michigan to her parents Dorothy Czinder and Ralph Bailey. In her early elementary school years, she moved to Virginia where she grew up and eventually met her husband of 45 years, David Snead Sr., of Manassas, Virginia.

Despite moving, Michigan remained special to her. She loved Lake Michigan. She enjoyed the water, walking on the sand dunes, and watching the pastel sunsets.

Early in her career, Kathi was a preschool teacher at Manassas Presbyterian Church and an Assistant Director at Manassas Christian School. Her most significant achievements came later as a Social Worker, where she made contributions to healthcare reform and published a book titled "My Mom Has a Job.”

Kathi is survived by her husband, David Snead Sr. her son David (Ruby) Snead Jr., daughter Kimberly (Mark) Jenkins and her grandchildren Hunter Jenkins, Dylan (Aslan) Hall, Kayleigh Hall, Brooke Jenkins, Scarlett Snead, David Snead III, Braden Snead and her Great Grandson Hunter Jenkins Jr. She is also survived by her mother, Dorothy Czinder, her sister Kristi Cromwell (Bryan) Lewis, half-sisters Jessica (Julio) Ramirez and Tracy Krell (Mac)  and half-brother Doug Bailey.

Kathi's memory lives on through the love she shared and the lives she touched. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the beautiful life she led. A Celebration of Life service will be held on September 23rd at 10410 Old Carolina Road in Midland Virginia. Rest in peace Mom, we miss you and you will remain in our hearts forever.
