Kathy's obituary

Katherine "Kathy" Sightler, a caring, helpful, and strong woman with a deep love for animals, was born on September 17, 1947 and gently passed away on December 8, 2023. Known affectionately as Kathy, her vibrancy of spirit and quiet strength deeply touched those around her. She championed the importance of being aware of one's surroundings and the virtue of kindness, lessons she shared with those she cherished. One of her proudest achievements was her retirement and the fulfillment of her dream to move to the beach.

Kathy is survived by her beloved husband, George Sightler, whose love and companionship enriched her life immeasurably. Her legacy is carried on by her children, Keena Carter and Dustin Carter, to whom she was a source of unwavering support and love. Her sisters, Norma Jean (Tommy) Rodger and Linda Daniels, remember her fondly as a pillar of strength and warmth.

In addition to her immediate family, Kathy leaves behind her nephews, Jamie and Matthew Daniels, and niece, Nikki Daniels. Each of them holds special memories of Kathy's love and nurturing spirit.

Kathy was predeceased by her mother, Margaret and Norman Cherry, whose love served as a guiding force throughout her life. She was also predeceased by her brother-in-law, James Daniels, with whom she shared a deep bond of family and friendship.

Kathy's absence will certainly be felt, but her lessons, her laughter, and her love will continue to echo in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering love, serving as a reminder of her remarkable life.
