Katherine “Kacey” Jean Moody passed away September 13, 2024 in Portsmouth after battling a long illness.  Kacey was born to Alton Briscoe and Jean Lindblom on November 12, 1963.  She is survived by her mother Jean, brother Robert Briscoe, husband Bruce Moody, and her three children: William Chase, Lt. Marck Mather, and Taylor Mather.  She was blessed with four grandchildren: Alexander Chase, Maximus Mather, Bella Mather and Emmett Mather.

She was preceded in death by her sister Robin Briscoe.

Kacey will always be remembered for her radiant spirit, her creativity, and her love for life, especially when it came to the simple joys that brought her happiness: crafting, cooking, and spending time by the beach.

Though Kacey is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the many lives she touched and the memories she created.

A private celebration of life will be held in her honor on September 28, 2024. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Back Bay Restoration Foundation in remembrance of her love for beach.

Kacey will be deeply missed but never forgotten.  May she rest in peace, with the sound of the ocean forever near.
