I heard a song today that brought me back to the late 1960’s when I was in college and dating Katherine’s cousin Pete. The song reminded me of being introduced to her and her lovely family by Peter. Katherine was lovely, gracious and one of the kindest people I have ever met. A couple of years later when I was in grad school in Philadelphia and Pete and I had broken up, she invited me to spend a weekend in N. J. with her and her family. This was so kind, as I’m sure she knew I was deeply grieving the loss of Peter. My heart goes out Katherine’s sweet daughter Rosanne, her son Johnny, as well as her grandchildren. If there, indeed, is a heaven, Katherine surely is there as she was an angel here on earth.

Kathy, you were my favorite neighbor for the year and a half I lived in California, you made me feel like family. I know how special you were and will be missed by many. I will always remember your kindness and smile…and the day you saved my chicken cacciatore from disaster! :-) May you RIP 🙏🏻
