Katherine Irene King, 84, of Scandia, MN, passed away on October 20th, 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Kathy was born on December 30th, 1936 to Irene and Oakland Martin at Minneapolis General Hospital.   Kathy married the love of her life, Lyle Irvine King, in 1972.  Kathy had 6 children when she met Lyle and he loved them all as his own, they shared one daughter together. 

Kathy was a passionate gardener and when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in her flower gardens making sure there were no weeds.  Kathy had a heart of gold and always welcomed all into her home, most knew her as "Grandma Kathy"

Kathy was predeceased by her Mother Irene, Husband Lyle King, Daughter Linda Beto, Son Mark Beto, Sister Naomi Martin, Brothers Thomas and Larry Martin and great grand children Parker and Aiden. She is survived by her children; Gary (Bev) Beto,  Cheryl Day, Theresa (Keith) Anderson, Deborah (Rick) Lambert, Thomas (Sandra) King, Tina (Mike) Nalipinski, 30 grand children and 54 great grand children.

The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to 22960 Melaine Trail, Scandia, MN 55073.

We will be postponing her celebration of life until July 9th, 2022 so we can accommodate all at her home on Bone Lake in Scandia.
