Des Moines, Iowa – Katie Jones, 30, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 24, 2024, in Des Moines, Iowa. 

Katie was a vibrant and compassionate soul, known for her kindness and unwavering spirit. She touched the lives of everyone she met, leaving behind memories that will be cherished forever. Katie had a passion for helping others and was always the first to lend a hand to those in need. Her bright smile and generous heart were gifts she shared freely, making the world a better place just by being in it.

Katie is survived by her loving mother, Kathleen Briggs, who was her rock and best friend. Their bond was one of deep love and mutual respect, and Kathleen’s strength has been a guiding light through this difficult time.

A funeral service was held on August 28, 2024, where family and friends gathered to celebrate Katie’s life, sharing stories of her warmth, humor, and the many ways she brought joy to those around her.

Katie will be dearly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity close to Katie’s heart, in her honor.
