Katherine Elizabeth Hazeltine (Estevez) age 63 of Shawnee Mission Kansas passed away in the early morning of August 18th. A memorial service will be held on August 31st from noon to two o'clock at Life Mission Church 16111 S. Lone Elm Rd. Olathe, KS 66062. Katherine was born the middle of seven children on July 4th 1956 in Kansas City Missouri. She believed every year that the fireworks on her birthday were for her. Katherine attended St. Louis grade school and Bishop Hogan High School. Katherine worked several different jobs but most notably she was a DJ in her younger years and a nanny later on in life. In addition to music and children she loved playing softball, sand volleyball and enjoyed swimming. Katherine was preceded in death by her Father Alexander Estevez and her brother Gregory Estevez. Katherine is survived by her husband Gary Hazeltine, mother Alexandra Rodriguez, children Vincent Holzer, Tara Nockel, Derek Hazeltine and Dominic Hazeltine, siblings Lita Hinton, Helen Campbell, Vincent Estevez, Martha Estevez and Mark Estevez, and grandchildren Rachel Holzer, Ava Holzer, Maxim Nockel, Sienna Nockel, Charlie Hazeltine and Brock Hazeltine.
