Katen's obituary
Karen Lee Perrone (Covillon), 79, passed away on February 1, 2025, in Northborough, MA, after a valiant fight with ovarian cancer.
Born on July 10, 1945, in Burlington, VT to Clifford and Alice (Sundberg) Covillon, of Burlington. Karen attended boarding school at South Lancaster Academy for high school.
Karen dedicated much of her career to helping others, working as a nurse’s aide at the Masonic Home in Charlton, a hostess at Webster House, as an auto insurance agent, and later as a buyer and cashier at the Adventist Book Center.
Karen was a woman of deep faith and was an active member of the Village Seventh-day Adventist Church. She found joy in sewing, quilting, and scrapbooking, creating cherished keepsakes for those she loved. Known for her love of the elderly and unfortunate, good sense of humor and kind heart; she was always ready to lend a helping hand, and open her home with great love and warmth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Alice Covillon, her husband, Angelo Perrone; her brother, Clifford Covillon; her sister, Elizabeth Fitzgerald; and her brother, David Covillon.
She is survived by her children: Mark Perrone and his wife Carolina; Matthew Perrone; Joseph Perrone and his wife Carrie; Tina Hood and her husband Brian; Justin Perrone and his wife Ingrid; Paula Choi and her husband Andrew; and Kristan Yeaton and her husband Benjamin. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will miss her dearly.
A memorial service will be held on March 22, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Village Seventh-day Adventist Church, 75 Sawyer Street, South Lancaster, MA 01561. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation in Karen’s memory.
Her love for Jesus guided her life, and her warmth and generosity touched all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
