Karl Moore Langford passed away peacefully the evening of November 1st, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in New Jersey and was the oldest son of Mary and Jay Langford. A celebration of life will be held for his friends and family in Des Moines at 9AM Saturday, November 6th, 2021.

Karl was a very hard working man. He worked for several car companies including Chevrolet, but he was happiest working with his children and grandchildren, fixing and rebuilding cars.

He had a love for all things automotive, and was born with a need for speed. He was an incredible builder and craftsman, and excellent cook. Karl had a great sense of humor, and he loved helping people in any way that he could.

He is survived by his daughter, Mercedes; grandchildren, Markim Langford and Merce Brown; Micah Lowary ; brother, Chuck Langford; sister-in-law, Arlene Mock. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion Langford; and siblings, Lee Langford, Mark Langford, and Elma Langford. 

A Celebration of Karl's Life with a time for sharing will be 9AM Saturday, November 6, 2021, in Des Moines Iowa. Visitation will be 9AM Saturday until service time. The family will have a private burial.
