I worked with Karl at PC World, and he was one of the best teachers I've ever known--extremely knowledgeable and consistently patient with our questions and problems. Karl went way beyond his job description to help the readers and his coworkers. I knew nothing about computers when I started working there, but Karl was always up for answering my questions and everyone else's, no matter how basic or complicated. He had a kind, gentle nature, but he was also really entertaining! There was no telling where one of his wild stories would go next. My condolences to his family for the loss of this wonderful man.
