Karl-Heinz's obituary
Karl-Heinz Schreiber, 87, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on the 24th of April 2023 in his home in Oro Valley, Arizona.
Karl was born on the 10th of October 1935 to Heinz and Hildegard. He grew up in Dessau with his little brother Rolf, but through the ages 11 to 15 he moved alongside his family to Russia for his father’s work. His father’s work with airplanes as a test pilot later on led him to work in the same industry as an engineer.
He soon met his wife Traudel and started a family. Both of them along with their two young sons Jörg and Thomas followed his career to the USA where he spent time in Washington, Colorado and Arizona. Aside from a year he and his wife spent in Spain, and another two they spent in Italy, this is where he remained, eventually gaining the title “Opi” to his four granddaughters.
He spent his life passionate about many things outside of his career, particularly soccer, music, travel, and always keeping up with the latest technology.
May he live on through his stories and shared memories, and may he rest in peace.
