The Miracle League of Arizona was a place that brought Karl so much joy and excitement. For the first time since he played Little League, Karl was playing 2nd base and was quite the slugger at the plate. He made friends and even had a nickname for a player on an opposing team who would match him hit for hit. He called him “my nemesis”. He even had his first home run ball, which he signed and sent to his mother. Karl enjoyed his time on the field and loved seeing his face on the outfield TV when he was at bat, as well as hearing his walk up song, “Sweet Child O’ Mine” play over the PA system.
