Karl's obituary

Karl Steven Dexter, 60 of Guthrie, OK, passed away on October 25, 2021. Karl and his fraternal twin brother Kenneth were born on September 12, 1960 to Ted Sr and Katherine Dexter in Texas. Sadly, Kenneth died at the young age of 8 while living in the Philippines. Upon his death, the family moved back to the United States and settled in Midwest City.  He graduated from Midwest City High School as a member of the wrestling team and a very talented saxophone player in the school band.  In 1988, he met Marilyn and Megan, and they wed in 1990, going on to have one more child, Paige Dexter born May 1, 1992.

Karl was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. He was unendingly proud of Megan, Paige, and Marilyn and always tried his best to support them. Karl was also a passionate musician and could often be found playing his guitar when he wasn’t taking a nap or fixing something.

Anyone who knew Karl knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Karl was predeceased by his twin brother Kenneth, his mother Katherine, his father Ted Sr., his older brother Ted Jr. And his little sister "Chari".

He is survived by his wife Marilyn, his step-daughter Megan, and his daughter Paige Dexter who will miss him terribly.  The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to 900 Trails North Rd Guthrie, OK 73044.

There will be a celebration of life at a to be determined time and location.
