Karin Johanna Wagar, 49, passed away unexpectedly on August 16, 2019 in her home in Olympia, WA.

A celebration of Karin’s life will be held Friday August 23rd at 1023 101st Ave SE, Olympia, WA 98501.

Karin was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands to Cor and Alie Wams on June 28, 1970. She married Mike Wagar on August 6, 2016 at their beautiful “Big Red Barn” in Olympia, WA. She earned her Masters of Arts in both History and Religious Studies. Karin loved her position as the Associate Director of the Foundation and Administration for Behavioral Health Resources. She was a dedicated and beloved wife, Mom, and Oma. She loved to cook, garden, and spend time with her family and friends. Karin was always thoughtful, considerate, and generous with her words and actions. She brought light to the lives of everyone who was lucky enough to be around her.

Karin is preceded in death by her parents, Cor and Alie Wams.

Karin is survived by her husband, Michael E. Wagar; Michael’s children, Katherine Whelan (J. Michael Whelan), and Michaela Wagar; brother Erik Wams (Tineke Wams); grandchildren Sullivan, Jacob, and Emerson; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved deeply.

We will keep Karin in our hearts, and cherish her memory always!
