Karin Elizabeth Nordlander was born November 28, 1943 in Boden, Sweden to Ingvar and Ella Nordlander. Her childhood in Northern Sweden was important to her and she shared many fond memories including skiing to school in the snow or helping her mother in the family restaurant. When Karin was 21, she was asked to be an Aupair for a family in Lake Bluff, Illinois and she moved to the United States. She immediately became ingrained …
