Kenney Chesney Concert, with Karen Bolch and Dennis, in the rain and we loved it all! — with Kari Peterson and Laura Diede

I wanted to share how welcoming Kati was - the first time I met her.

Tom and I had been dating  and planned a trip to Florida to celebrate Tom's birthday. We were staying with Kari, Bill, Dana and Little Bill. I had not met Kari before and she welcomed me into her home and made me feel as though she had known me forever. We spent a lot of time that week with the kids and going out - one night on a wonderful limo ride to a couple beaches and then out to dinner. I remember how  welcome she made me feel. I will always remember her happy, smiling face and how much adoration and love you could see had for her grandchildren. When she was around them, she just beamed with love.

She was loved and loved everyone well.

I first met Kari when I got lucky enough to be suite mates with Dana our freshman year at Auburn. I actually met her smiling face before I even met Dana. She made sure to meet the people that were going to be in Dana’s life. That reminds me of a story that she told me about when she was in New York and saw a random guy on the street wearing an Auburn hat. She said she ran up to him just to give him a big War Eagle! Kari never met a stranger. She loved to hear our crazy stories and was always there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. She loved her people fiercely and would do anything for anybody! But that’s just who Kari was- a big smile, a friendly hug, and a huge heart!! She was a light in this World’s darkness and will be greatly missed!!

My sweet friend, I miss you so. I especially miss your infectious laugh and quick giggles, song singing, wise prespectives, our deep conversations and the close sharing of both our spiritual journeys.  Our brithday cruises with Gail and Diamond will never be fogotten! Your light in this world was big and bright and I have always felt honored and privileged to be considered your close friend. I know you are doing special work up in the Heavens and looking down on all of us  and even th ough I want you here I know your time to go home to God was perfectly designed. I love you. Always Diane

PS - Since we would  always discuss the monthly Power Path posts I have made a donation there in Kari's name.

Sweet Kari the light and love that you brought to everyone will forever shine brightly in the hearts of all that you have touched. You were truly unforgettable and  a gift to us all!  I'm so grateful to have had you in my life! We will all continue to cherish our memories with you.

Much love always,

 Gail

I am broken hearted to learn of Kari’s passing. She personified love, goodness and grace. Kari truly blessed everyone she met. The world has lost a star.
Kari was so incredibly precious to me. Being in her presence just made my soul smile. Her smile, positive outlook in all things and her love was so contagious. She lit up the whole room when walked in. She was a bright light in my life and to many others. You couldn’t help but fall in love with her. This world has lost a beautiful soul that without a doubt left a lasting impression on anyone who knew her. I will miss her but will think of her often. Thank you God for giving us Kari and thank you for healing her. Until we meet again my friend, you will live in my heart.
