Karen's obituary
Karen Boyd, age 72, passed away on March 20, 2026.
Karen was born on August 30, 1953, and lived a life centered around love, family, and the things that brought her joy.
She was a devoted mother to Virginia Korovken and Dessie Jones (husband Ky Jones), and a proud grandmother to Erinn Moore, Jared Sawrie (wife Lily), Tanner Tozer (wife Paige), and Brandon Boyd. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Glenn Sawrie, Lydia, Harper, and Amelia Sawrie, Isis and Griffin Meeks, and Archer Tozer.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerrell Boyd, and her great-granddaughter, Effie Sawrie.
Karen was a dedicated fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks men's basketball and loved cheering them on. She also had a special passion for horses and spent many treasured moments participating in horse shows with her beloved horse, Dobbin.
Karen will be remembered for her love of family, her strength, and the joy she found in life’s simple moments. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
