Karen S. Skoglund (née Moore) passed away Tuesday, Sept. 15, at her home in Vineland surrounded by family members. She was 68. She grew up in Deerfield Street and lived in Cumberland County her entire life.

She worked for 31 years in positions of increasing responsibility at Elwyn in Vineland. She graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1970, attended the former Cumberland County College and was a member of Deerfield United Methodist Church. She had a contagious laugh and was happiest with friends and family, particularly at the beach or at a Philadelphia 76ers game.

The daughter of the late Leonard A. Moore and Susanna K. “Sue” Moore (née Kille), she is survived by her daughter and caretaker, Sarah Skoglund; two sons, Erik (Amber Smith) and Patrik (Reeta Pirala-Skoglund); six grandchildren, Fiona Skoglund, Leopold Skoglund, Axel Skoglund, Londyn Skoglund and Emily Skoglund; and her service dog, Xena.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are by Freitag Funeral Home 137 W. Commerce St. Bridgeton, N.J.
