Karen's obituary
She was born in Jacobson, Minnesota on Feb 5th, 1944 to her parents Harold "Ted" Rodenbiker and Florence Mae Simons, both deceased, and grew up in Rock Lake, North Dakota with her siblings all still living, Nancy Hunt, MaryJane Rodenbiker, Bev Rodenbiker, Kerry Rodenbiker, Harold Rodenbiker, Dody Rodenbiker and Roger Rodenbiker. she is also proceeded by many cousins, family and friends, she touched so many!
Karen moved to Denver when she was 18 and met our Dad, Richard Dorshorn, they were married in Dec of 1963 and moved to California, where they lived for 3 years, then they moved back to Denver and raised a family. Karen divorced in 1983 and never remarried. Karen spread her love and light and her sunshine to all whom she met! Her warm and caring smile was all it took. She was a breath of fresh air or a warm embrace to soothe your soul. Family was the most important thing to her. Her travels had her living in Canon City, Colorado, Washington State and North Dakota, mostly in Colorado. She had always dreamed of going to Ireland, Alaska and the Carolina's. She also had a passion to help young women realize they could do anything there heart desire. Karen believed and lived an example of equality and value in all human life. She always recognized the light and love in all. She loved and was loved so much!
