Karen Diane Oak (nee’ Wilkison), 85, died May 25, 2022 at Clark Memorial Hospital, Jeffersonville, Indiana after a brief illness.   Karen was born February 12, 1937 at the home of her maternal grandparents in Falmouth, Indiana to her parents, Delbert Russell Wilkison and Florence Wilkison (nee’ Smith). Karen was married to Charles Walter Oak (deceased), April 3, 1960 until her husband’s death in 1992. Karen was a loving and compassionate homemaker who loved her family deeply, Charles Shawn Oak, (Michelle) of Louisville, Kentucky. Karen enjoyed dancing, music, literature, and for years it is believed that she kept the public library in business. She is survived by two grandchildren, Kristen Nichole Gandy (Will) and Charles Alexander (Alex) Oak, (Cassie) and three great-grandchildren, Charlotte Afton Oak, Camille Sophia Oak, and Kaius Lorhland Gandy.
