Karen, Michael and I had been homeless together since March 25, 2019, but on January 7th we managed to rent a room at the Holiday Inn for 2 weeks, through the US Vets organization. On January 13, Karen's birthday, she and Mike returned to our room and we had planned to celebrate her birthday, but Karen was very tired so she just went to bed. Mike and I watched her all night and saw her get up a few times, but when we had difficulty waking her the next morning, we called an ambulance and had her taken to the North Vista Hospital, where they first diagnosed her with possible meningitis, but later the suspected a septis infection. Now the hospital suspects that Karen was one of the very first Corona Virus cases in Nevada, so Mike and I are having that possibility researched and we will give an update to that on a later date. Sorry to hear about Karen's passing. Ladt time wr talked She mentioned how much she loved her kids, mom, brothers and sister and my thoughts are with them as I know this must be very hard on them. Karen will always be remembered as a great friend and always be in my heart.
