Karen was an absolute light for those around her. I had so many wonderful memories and she will be dearly missed!!

I worked with Karen at Sunquest - I can only say that her death is SO WRONG in so many ways. My condolences to her family and to her many friends and loved ones.

I offer my sincerest condolences to the Mikulas family. Karen was my student at Vines High School, and as a fellow teacher and friend of Francie’s for years, I know what a wonderful person Karen grew up to be. She will be so missed and I will keep her loved ones in my thoughts. With sympathy, Nadine Harrison

I worked with Karen at Children’s. She was a joy to work with. She loved her patients and had a huge impact on them and their families.  Karen was fun to work with and be around. My condolences to her family and love ones.

I am so sorry to hear of your tragic loss. I so wish I would have had the chance to meet Karen, your beautiful daughter, a truly beautiful person, Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help. (I wil call Cousin Judy this morning to let her know.) May God be with you and your family to give you love, support, and peace.

I met Karen through working at Sunquest. I was one of the tech guys doing installations and frequently got to work install and upgrade projects with her. She was a hell of a great project manager, and even on top of that, she never hesitated to get her hands dirty with the technical stuff on a project when there was work to be done (even though technically she wasn't supposed to, and we always had a good laugh about it). Aside from being an incredibly hard worker and very dedicated to her job, she was absolutely one of the most fun people to work with. I always jumped at the chance to get to work with her, and even after I left doing project work I would always drop everything to help her out if she needed something because I knew she would do the same for me. Really gonna miss her.

Rest in peace Karen. You are loved and admired by so many for your passion to fight for life & humanity. I'm thankful to know you and you will be greatly missed. Prayers for your family to find peace and comfort.
