Background
Those who know Karen know she was a giver. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to one of these organizations, all of which were near and dear to her. Karen loved her dogs, all of which were rescues. DSDA is the dog rescue where she adopted her most recent puppy, Zoey. Karen also was a champion of inclusion and equality. Both the Trevor Project and The Human Rights Campaign were organizations she spoke of and contributed to herself. She would love to know that we are all continuing that same work in her honor.
