Our condolences to Karen's family.Β 

Karen valued pouring out her life to take care of others which included our son Ryan. It’s not easy to see our physical loved ones depart from us. She left her soul characteristic in the mind, heart and soul within her beautiful daughters Khalilah and Vanessa and all others she touched during her life. As you remember and mourn, please find those sweet moments and celebrate how she touched your life.

I was mama Karen’s first baby of her blossoming daycare business. She showed nothing but love and raised me up as her own son. Her laugh and energy were truly infectious. My mother, Jacquelyn Whitman, knew she could trust Karen to watch over me and she didn’t disappoint. I’m proud to call Khalilah and Vanessa my beautiful, smart, and strong big sisters. While my heart is heavy, I’m happy mama Karen is finally resting peacefully. Fly free baby! We love you.
