Karen's obituary
Karen L. Morrison (Clark), 61, of Galesburg, IL died on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.
Karen Lea Morrison (Clark) was born on March 11, 1965, in Canton, IL, the daughter of George and Sue Clark. Survivors include her parents; George and Sue Clark of Galesburg, her husband; Robert Morrison of Galesburg, IL, her daughter; Kellea (Tyler) Nelson of Kewanee, IL, her brother; Steven (Erin) Clark of Wataga, IL, and four nieces and nephews; Andrew (Kiersten) Clark, Ashlea (Logan) Harrison, Jacob (Sarah) Morrison, Maddie (Patrick) Barnhill, and their many loving children. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter; Molly, sister; Deb, her grandparents on both sides, and best friend Holly Reynolds.
Karen graduated from Galesburg High School in June of 1983. She married the love of her life, Robby, on April 23, 1993. She had a number of jobs over the years, but some of her favorites were working at Bard Optical and Lake Bracken Country Club with her best friend, Holly.
Karen was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She loved fiercely with her whole heart, and everyone she ever knew could tell. She often wore her heart on her sleeve with a big smile on her face. Karen was always kind, caring, and courageous. She fought many hard battles throughout her life, but she took all of them in stride. Karen had the best sense of humor and was always ready with a good sarcastic comeback for anyone that would listen. She was an avid animal lover, having three dogs and a cat — Most notably, her chubby wiener dogs. She enjoyed watching the WNBA and rooting for the Indiana Fever. She especially loved watching Caitlin Clark play basketball with her husband and daughter. She was also a life long Chicago Bears fan, despite their often losing streaks. She was able to thoroughly enjoy seeing them beat the Packers not once, but twice, this past season. She also spent a lot of time getting tattoos with her daughter, especially from her favorite artists, Sierra, Devan, and Liz. She adored spending time with her two parents, George and Sue, and going for long car rides together with them. She delighted in watching her great nieces and nephews grow up, and she really loved spending time with her granddog, Ivy. To know her was to love her.
In accordance with Karen’s wishes, she will be cremated. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
