I live across the street from Al. I will miss the times that I had the occasion to speak with Karen. We liked to kid each other, didn't matter what the conversation was about. She finally gave me the jar of rhubarb jelly she promised to make for me. It only took a year, but she did come through. Make sure you spend time and get to know your neighbors.
We were so saddened by the loss of Karen. I really enjoyed the times we were able to share together at family gatherings. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all in this sad time. May your memories bless you in the days ahead. Love you, Jim & Terri Phelps
Karen is camping. Karen is gourmet dinner memories, especially the one at their house with the croquembouche that stuck to the plate and the terrine which had been remade at 4:00 a.m. Karen loved her family and was there for Al and the kids during his medical emergencies and stoic through her own. Karen loved life. She loved music. She loved people and just being together and talking. She loved the annual Fourth of July parade around the lake at their cabin. She loved sitting around the pool in Tucson. Though she loved all of us, she especially loved and was completely devoted to her family. We’re so glad her physical pain is finally gone and she’s with God, who she also loved. We have thirty-one years of good memories, but our hearts are completely broken. We love you, Karen, and always will.
So saddened to hear about the loss of Karen, my cousin. We shared a large part of our growing up years together, sleepovers, time in south Dakota with grandma and relatives, and playing with our Ginny dolls. Karen loved her family and the history of the Larsons. I will miss our lunches and talks. Hope she's at peace.
