We will miss Karen’s sunshine as she went on her morning walks with the dogs. Jeff please continue the walks …

Sorry we missed her celebration of life. We are on the mainland babysitting.

Karen had a way of looking at the positive side.  Of everything.  She taught me that.  Even when something bad happened she would say it was probably meant to be.  That there was something important there to learn.  Or something good will come  that will be better.  She was right.   I will miss you dearly, my good friend.  I pray for Jeff and family for God to allow them to find the comfort and peace in Karen's memory knowing she , herself,  is at peace.  -Remal Bangasan

Working Buddies — with Karen, Debbie and Devin

I knew Karen for 40 years.  Karen was my neighbor and my friend. It began with a warm smile, genuine and happy.

Karen believed "nothing would be impossible with God".  One day, I saw her whiz by on a Razor scooter.  I asked her, "when did you learn to ride like that?"  She replied, "now".

Karen also believed in kindness because she said, "being kind makes you feel happy".  She lived kindness.  I would find a Tupperware of warm stew, spaghetti, or freshly made bread pudding at my door just because she wanted to share or because she felt that I needed a hug.

Karen's faith in Christ was unwavering, always "thank you, Jesus".  I saw Karen on Mother's Day with a big smile and greeted me, "Happy Mother's Day!"

Karen my Sisterilla

You are my sunshine

My only sunshine

You make me happy, when skies are gray

You never know dear how much I love you

I will miss you each and every day🫶🏼🌻🦋

We were Karen’s neighbors for 27 years.  We did so many things together—raised our kids, partied, celebrated special occasions and milestones, and just talked story and laughed!!  What a blessing to have gotten to know such a wonderful, loving and positive person!!  She was so patient and calm in raising her children that she was an inspiration to us.  Her infectious smile and embracing personality are surely missed.  Till we meet again.
Karen is the ultimate neighbor and disciple of Jesus Christ. Always kind and thoughtful, real and sweet, Karen would share what she thought we would enjoy whether food or plants, thoughts, stories or laughs! We are lucky to call her neighbor, sister and friend. A Hui Hou, Karen! 🧡
