Karen's obituary
Karen Hunt, transitioned to heaven on 1-30-23 at 11:01pm. She was born on 10-20-1954 to Ada Hunt in Idaho. She pursued Architecture at Lawerence Tech in Michigan. She was loved by many, a true encouraging soul, a true believer in Christ. She touched many lives.
She loved and raised her three daughters to be wild and free thinking, to be compassionate, to reach for the stars. She often inspired their creative abilities and entrepreneurial spirit. Including inspiring and scripting a skit won Kalissa and Brielle $10,000 on Americas Funniest People in 1993. Then investing that money in a profitable and popular raver clothing store called Outta Control from 96 - 01.
Karen had a serious love for art and design. From a very young age, she would analyze the way things made her feel and often found her way back to the delight of mid century modern.
New York
She lived in NYC from 2010- 15 in a brownstone with her daughter. She made friends with neighbors in the Bronx and online by collecting and writing about mid century modern miniatures.
Grandma year
In 2013, she became Nena to Livvia and Kingston shortly after. In 2017, her granddaughter Adalissa was born. As a grandma she is known for her awesome art projects and spending hours in the lake teaching us all to swim.
Karen was predeceased by her mother Ada Hunt. She is survived by Jyna Maxwell, Brielle Maxwell, and Kalissa Maxwell, along with her grandkids Livvia, Kingston and Adalissa.
Memorial will be held at Red Door on 3-12 at 12pm est.
