Karen's obituary

We mournfully announce the passing of Karen Ann Gallatin-Miles, age 75, of Plainfield, IN. Karen passed away on January 2, 2021, after a hard fought battle with Diabetes and the Human Rhinovirus.

Karen, born to Ellis Gallatin and Anna C. Darrah-Gallatin, took her first breath on 09-16-1946. Karen was a force to be reckoned with from the get go, graduating from Cascade High School in 1964 as one of the top of her class. She lived in Amo, IN at that time.
She pursued a career in Business for many years, retiring after 15+ years at The Town Of Plainfield, IN.
While Karen never re-married, she lived a full and vibrant life with more friends than you could count.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ellis Gallatin and Anna C. Darrah-Gallatin, her sister Theresa M. Gallatin, and husband Donald Miles.
She was survived by a sister, Nadine L. Gallatin-Slaughter and many Cousins.

When Karen retired, she devoted most of her time to reading, spending time with her sister and her pets. We will miss her dearly. She will forever be loved and remembered by many.

While we would love to hold a memorial service in Karen’s name, she specifically requested no services take place. If you’d like to honor their legacy, please make a donation to The Diabetes Foundation in Karen’s name.
