Karen Fitzpatrick, age 72 of Eugene, Oregon, passed away on Tuesday, October 3rd after a Stage 4 Kidney Disease and Dementia

Karen was born on March 17th to Zada and John Anderson in Phoenix, Arizona. 

Karen met and married Wayne Southwick (since divorced) in the mid-70s and had two children: Jason and Sharlah. Jason passed away in 1989. Sharlah is surviving. 

Karen met and married Michael Fitzpatrick in Long Beach, California in the late-70s. Karen and Michael went on to have four children: Donovan, James, Shannon, and Timothy - all surviving

She is also survived by her grandchildren: Carissa, Zach, and Sophie (through Donovan), Tracy and Tristan (through Timothy), and Emily (through Shannon).

In 2000, Karen retired and spent quality time with her family. Taking vacations, cruises, and trips to Mexico. Her goal in life was to squeeze out every last memory she could possibly make with her friends and family.

Mom always practiced forgiveness. She was never angry for more than a couple of hours, no matter the offense. She wanted to be forgiven for the choices she made too, and in the end, it all was. She made her mends with all of us and she got to see all her children in one place - which was her dream for many years.

Services will be held at Biddle Regional Park (Bobcat Reservation area), Arroyo Grand, California on Saturday, November 4th at 1 p.m.  Sandwiches and sides will be served at the service.
