I met Karen many years ago when she joined the staff of OMB as a budget analyst. We became fast friends at work and soon were enjoying one another on hikes and walks. There was always a lot of news to catch up with.She was always fun to be with and oh my when she would laugh! I admired her tenacity and strong will. When she was focused on a task Karen set her mind to it and accomplished what she set forth to do. She loved her kids with deep passion and would do anything for them..Karen was a dear friend and I will miss her company on walks, but will treasure the memories and friendship i have had with her. Fun-loving, open-minded, easy to smile, and quick to laugh: these are just some of the many thoughts that come to mind when I think of Karen. She was such a positive light, so kind and thoughtful, and supportive not only of her own children but also of her children's friends. I am so thankful for all of the great memories that I have of Karen, and she will be sorely missed. Sending huge hugs and lots of love to Sarah and Ryan, and to her other family members and friends.
