She was generous and kind
In response to "What made Karen different from most people you know?"

First I want to say thank you all for being here.

I just know Karen would be so grateful to know there are so many that cared for her. She didn’t always feel very included or appreciated but she knew she was loved.

Our sisters life was tumultuous at best. Struggle after struggle but never a woe is me. what she valued most is her family. Never having her own children she strived to be a great big sister often making us nuts at times but she loved us without conviction. When Karen loved , She loved hard. She was thoughtful and generous to a fault. Often going without so someone else didn’t have to … but you can rest assured people would hear about it. Karen was insanely comical and would often wonder why we were laughing. We’d tell her what she said and how she said it made it funny. Instead of being offended she’d carry on even more We’d laugh till we cried. She had the best one liners of anyone I know. She Was cute as hell. I would love to say Karen lived a good long life but it wasn’t great for her. She had a very hard life. and most definitely not long enough for those she left behind. I do know Karen knew she was loved through it all. We will miss her calls , her voicemails and her everything. I know she is with mom and Susan now and one day we will all meet again .
