Karen (Casey-KC) Dee Vando, 61, of Spokane, WA, passed away on December 6th 2022 at 5:55 pm. She was surrounded by love at the time of her passing. She chose to be an organ donor for Northwest Life Center. 

Karen (Casey) was born in Utica, NY, by her parents Miguel Angel Vando and Evelyn Ella Vando (Rusaw) whom she predeceased. She is survived by her three children Shawnna Joy Valles, Autumn Angel Vando, Michael Ryan P. Vando, her honorary son Victor Santos, her 4 grandchildren Esteban Hughes, Antonio Hughes, Jazmine Jacques-Valles Avery Lovick, her brother Roger Palek Sr and sister's Dawn Polak and Debra Greenwell, her cat Sabbath, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Karen (Casey) was an avid reader and scary movie enthusiast. Her favorite author's being Dean Koontz, Stephen King and Joyce Meyer. Karen (Casey) spent much of her free time thrifting, making her house a home with her finds, then retreating into her room. She was a paradoxical woman. A free spirited home body, a heavy metal loving Christian, and the happiest woman who wanted to escape. She was a woman that you wouldn't forget and is loved and missed by many. 

A memorial service will be held at New Community church 518 W 3rd Spokane WA 99201 at 1 pm. Buffet luncheon to follow. Free oarking at Banner bank or street parking.
