Karen's obituary
Karen E. Caiati beloved mother and wife, 60, of Williams Township, went home to Jesus on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia after a year's battle with cancer. She and her husband, Roberto Carlo Caiati, shared 33 beautiful years of marriage.
Born in Buffalo, New York, she was a daughter of John and Carolyn (Purdy) Greiner of Orchard Park, New York. Karen was a graduate of Holland High School in New York, received an undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia and completed her Master’s degree in Education at SUNY Potsdam. Teaching was her life, which was evident in her more than 30 years of teaching 3rd Grade and commitment to education, beginning in Lowville, New York and completing the remainder in the East Penn School District. Karen was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Allentown. She also enjoyed gardening, creating memories scrapbooking, traveling, and spending time with her family. She was never found without a book as she loved to read.
Survivors: Her loving husband, Carlo; her parents, John and Carolyn; daughters, Ariana E. Caiati of Seattle, Washington and Alyssa C. Caiati of Williams Township; twin sister, Sharon O’Connor of Orchard Park, New York; nieces, Ashley and Courtney O’Connor; beloved dog, Keva.
Arrangements in her memory: A viewing will be held from 6-8 PM Friday, September 19th at Calvary Baptist Church, 4601 Tilghman Street, Allentown, PA 18104. Calling hours will also be held at the church from 10 AM on Saturday, September 20, until the time of the Funeral service on Saturday morning. Interment services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, September 22 in St. John’s Union Cemetery, 2745 Morgan Hill Road, Easton. Arrangements are entrusted to the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Allentown.
